At the end of service in the teepee field and Eigensinn Farm nearly 100 people got to watch an impressive display of fireworks put on Oyster Boy. Happy Canada Day! Enjoy!

Grand Pre- beyond the dikes where will plan to have a lobster boil in 2012

We are getting ready to announce the location of the next Canadian Chefs' Congress in 2012. Nova Scotia is the host province and this is where we will celebrate the night before the congress starts.

White Asparagus for Halifax, Nova Scotia fundraiser

We were getting on Porter Airlines for Halifax at 06:00 the next day. I had to get my white asparagus ready for the soup I was going to make at Craig Flinn's Chives Canadian Bistro.

Every Day is a Special Day TV: Planting Sea Buckthorn at Eigensinn Farm

Today we have students from schools in London, Ontario and Saskatchewan, planting Sea Buckthorn on the farm. There are many health benefits from Sea Buckthorn and it is a beneficial plant here on the farm.

When we are finished planting, I have invited all the students to my restaurant, Haisai, to enjoy a meal prepared by me and the apprentices.
